Cortices is the most commonly used technique in the BodyTalk System. It is important in establishing the general health and function of the brain. Cortices involves a sequence of hand positions that cover the four main brain cortices--occipital, parietal, pre-frontal and temporal--while tapping alternately on the head and sternum. Bringing awareness to each area of the brain while tapping allows improved communication between right and left hemispheres of the brain, facilitating optimal intellectual as well as intuitive processing.
Daily practice of Cortices will help re-establish balance of the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Balancing the two halves of the brain enable better communication to occur at all levels of the body, which leads to improved health. Tap daily for 5 days and let me know what you experience. Calming the Mind
Calming the mind is an important part of self-care, especially during the early days and months of caring for a newborn.
Learning and using self-regulation techniques allows us to increase our resilience across all four energetic domains: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Having a high level of resilience improves our ability to recover from challenging situations as well as preventing unnecessary stress reactions (frustration, anxiety and impatience) that can lead to further energy drain.
